#JKTravel2015: Los Angeles – Where We Went

Each day Karrie and I spent in the Los Angeles area was filled with a lot of sun and a hell of a lot of fun. No matter what your budget is, there’s something fun for you to see or do in Los Angeles! Other than paying for our Uber rides, we spent very little on these excursions (save for the very last one), so I’ve gotta say, they were all definitely worthwhile!

We’re skipping (most of) the tourist hotspots such as the Chinese Theatre and tourist traps like Madame Toussaud’s… so follow us and learn about…

Everywhere we went in LA

I want to thank Karrie for taking a good majority of these photos with her camera (or my phone). Girl’s got mad skills. From the cheapest (free!) to splurgiest – see what works best for your next trip!

England 2014: Day 7 – Sweet Scavenging at Portobello & Magic at Leavesden Studios

Hello again, lovelies!

I’ve just passed through a busy fortnight and there’s no clear end in sight on the work front. Long hours, late nights, and it’ll keep going ’til Christmas! I’m beyond thankful for this rest day as I sit in solitude here in my flat.

Today’s post will be a nice distraction, however, as I take you on a ride that stretches from Notting Hill to my alma mater, Hogwarts.

England 2014: Day 4 – Hello, Oxford!

On Wednesday morning, July 30th, we bid adieu to Bath, our home for the past 3 days and 3 nights. The next leg of our England adventure took us to Oxford. This day would prove to be an epic whirlwind, as we dropped in, spent the day, and zipped right back out again! Fortunately, it was yet another amazing day.

As you can probably imagine, there were several moments during this day that moved me to absolute tears; I was absolutely overwhelmed by the amount of history and creative energy that surrounded us here. J.R.R. Tolkien is one of my life heroes, and on July 30th, 2014, I was able to walk in his footsteps for a day.  Continue reading “England 2014: Day 4 – Hello, Oxford!”
